Meter reading extreme downloads

Reported by Lloyd Stedman | March 9th, 2010 @ 03:53 AM

Is there any reason that my otherwise wonderful cheetahwatch has gone a bit nuts.

After a few days of behaving beautifully it now starts telling me that I am downloading masses, when I am doing nothing.

I have it set to a 900mb warning, and it got there in minutes when I am downloading nothing at all.

I am using a 3g Huawei modem.

Regards

Same problem, anyone knows what happend? Through dashboard of huawei (mobile partner) statistic is ok, but using cheetahwatch make me crazy,do nothing at all,but count extremly fast fill up from 0 to 1Gb or more, how to solve this problem. I like this program due to native mobile partner takes very long time to initialize device and connect.

    Lloyd and Dmitry,

Which version of CheetahWatch are you referring to here? Have you installed the most recent version, 1.4?

This little mac app provides you with signal strength, network mode (GRPS/WCDMA/HSDPA), network name control over your connection, and statistics about your current connection (current throughput, total data transferred, connection time). It does this through a little icon in your menu bar (and a bigger window, if you want to see it), and also helps you keep track of your usage - no need for a nasty surprise from your provider.
