no icon in menu bar

Reported by Ana Snyman | March 11th, 2009 @ 11:36 PM

hi, great app but when it suggested i upgrade i did that. now, modem connects but no icon shows in menu bar. when i go to open cheetah watch from Applications, icon shows momentarily with limited options then disappears immediately. tonight saw preferences in drop down, clicked warn me but then laptop froze and had grey box asking to restart, this happened after downloading as well. had to try restart again because operating system wasnt' loading.

can i trash the application and re install? looked at other tickets and saw you gave another version in a zip file, downloaded it but i can't see what to do next. have restarted but same issue.

You might want to try a more recent version and see whether that resolves your problem.

This little mac app provides you with signal strength, network mode (GRPS/WCDMA/HSDPA), network name control over your connection, and statistics about your current connection (current throughput, total data transferred, connection time). It does this through a little icon in your menu bar (and a bigger window, if you want to see it), and also helps you keep track of your usage - no need for a nasty surprise from your provider.
